Trade Mission of Luxembourg to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 2, 2023, the Kazakh-Luxembourg business forum was held in Almaty, during which Luxembourg ICT, High Tech, industrial and financial companies that arrived in Kazakhstan as part of the Trade Mission during the period October 2-6 of this year took part.

The main organizer of the event was the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the co-organizers of the Forum and the Trade Mission were the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Luxembourg.

The main topic of the business forum was expanding cooperation between the two countries in such priority areas as IT, digitalization, financial services, education, transport, mining and environmental sectors. This event was an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest trends in business development in Kazakhstan and meet potential business partners from Luxembourg.

The business forum was attended by representatives of the official and business circles of Luxembourg and Kazakhstan: Ambassador of Luxembourg to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Tom Reisen, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Mr. Fernand Ernster, President of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Denis Van den Weij, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investments of Almaty Mr. Berik Soltanbaev, Regional Director for Europe NC Kazakh Invest JSC Ms. Altynai Mukanova, Acting Deputy Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" in Almaty Ms. Ainur Baspakova, Deputy General Director of the SEZ PIT in Almaty Mr. Azamat Tulebaev, a number of Kazakh companies from different sectors of the economy, as well as managers and representatives of Luxembourg companies - participants in the trade mission, which included Data things, MTX Connect, Pure Lambda, Virtual Rangers, LOBOX Architectes and others.

The event brought together about 60 participants, including representatives of 14 Luxembourg companies. As part of the mission, the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce organized about 50 bilateral meetings in the years. Almaty and Astana, based on the results of which specific partnership agreements are expected.
