President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President of the European Council Charles Michel

On the sidelines of the summit "Central Asia - European Union" the meeting of the Head of our state with the President of the European Council Charles Michel took place.

Welcoming Charles Michel, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the priority nature of Kazakhstan's strategic partnership with the European Union. The Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between our country and the EU marked the beginning of a new stage of in-depth cooperation. Today, the EU is the leading trading partner and the largest investor in the economy of Kazakhstan.

In turn, Charles Michel, highly appreciating the growing dynamics of cooperation between the European Union and Kazakhstan, noted the need for joint work to further develop cooperation.

There was also an exchange of views on issues of the global and regional agenda.
