Chamber President Meets the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On 1 November 2023, at the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce office in Almaty, Chamber President Mr Denis Van den Weghe met with H.E. Nico Schermers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting addressed cooperation between the Chamber and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Current and future initiatives and projects aimed at developing business and trade relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands were discussed, along with joint work to promote business and mutual assistance in addressing current challenges, and strengthening coordination and cooperation.

The parties also discussed future plans for joint events aimed at developing trade and economic ties between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.

The meeting between the President of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands underlined the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the commitment to further strengthening the partnership.

It should be noted that a large delegation of Dutch agricultural companies (Dalsem Complete Greenhouse Projects, Prins Group, Ridder, Nijhuis Saur Industries, Newlong Holland B.V. and others), led by Dutch Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Mr Jan-Kees Goet, arrived in Kazakhstan to take part in the international agricultural exhibition "AgroWorld Qazaqstan," held in Almaty from 1 to 3 November this year.

It should be noted that Dutch agricultural companies, among the EU's leaders in agriculture, take part in this significant sector event in Kazakhstan every year.
