BeNeLux-Kazakhstan Trade Talks 2025: Expanding Horizons for Kazakh Exporters

Astana, 18 March 2025 – The "BeNeLux-Kazakhstan Trade Talks 2025" round table, held at Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) in Astana, brought together representatives of government bodies, business and trade experts to strengthen economic ties and explore new export opportunities between Kazakhstan and the BeNeLux region.

Organised by the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce and QazTrade, the event served as a platform for discussing export acceleration, financial support mechanisms, and strategies for entering BeNeLux markets.

In her presentation, QazTrade Managing Director Ainur Amirbekova introduced the Export Acceleration Programme — a state initiative aimed at integrating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into global production and supply chains.

"Our goal is to provide Kazakh enterprises with comprehensive support at every stage — from idea to implementation. The Export Acceleration Programme includes a range of services such as enterprise diagnostics, development of market-entry strategies, organisation of B2B meetings, and financial support for participation in international trade fairs and product certification," said Ainur Amirbekova.

Arman Kumisbayev, General Director of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce, stressed the importance of establishing contacts between Kazakh and European companies and ensuring a smooth entry for exporters into BeNeLux markets.

"Our Chamber serves as a link between Kazakh enterprises and the BeNeLux countries, providing important market information, guidance on regulatory matters, and access to key trade networks. As part of our upcoming initiatives, we are organising a multi-sector trade mission of Kazakhstan to Belgium on 4–5 June, followed by a business programme in Luxembourg for IT companies. These events will allow Kazakh companies to establish direct contacts with European business partners," said Arman Kumisbayev.

Artem Tolstov, Director of IGK Group Kazakhstan, spoke about the importance of risk management and financial security for exporters. "In today's globalised economy, companies face growing risks related to finance, payment delays and partner reliability. At IGK Group we offer a wide range of financial protection tools — from trade credit insurance to counterparty solvency assessment, due-diligence services and debt collection," said Artem Tolstov.

The event concluded with a networking session that helped establish new business connections and strengthen cooperation in international trade.
