Belgian and Luxembourg Companies Look to Expand Their Presence in the Kazakh Market

Brussels, 5 September 2022 — Kazakhstan's Ambassador Margulan Baimukhan visited production lines and held talks with the heads of Norditube Technologies (Belgium) and Faymonville (Luxembourg), which are exploring opportunities to expand their business in the Kazakh and Central Asian markets.

At a meeting in Liège, Fabrice Piraux, Production Director of Norditube Technologies, one of the world's leading suppliers of trenchless pipe-rehabilitation technology, stressed the company's intention to build long-term cooperation with Kazakh partners with a view to entering Central Asian markets. It should be noted that the Belgian company's high-tech solutions reduce the cost of rehabilitating utility networks by more than half. The company has extensive experience successfully restoring pipeline networks of various types and purposes around the world.

Meanwhile, the Luxembourg company Faymonville, a leading manufacturer of low-bed trailers for oversized cargo, could work with Kazakh partners to service its equipment and support customers in the region.

In Luxembourg, Ambassador M. Baimukhan also met with Managing Director of the European Investment Bank Rafal Rybacki. The bank's management is currently studying specific projects in our country that could have a positive impact on addressing pressing economic development challenges in Kazakhstan, a number of environmental issues, and the introduction of energy-saving technologies. An agreement was reached to organise a further working visit by a bank delegation to Kazakhstan's regions.
