BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce Meets a Belgian Delegation in Almaty

Almaty, Kazakhstan. 4 September 2025. The BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan welcomed a delegation of Belgian senators and business representatives at its Almaty office.

The delegation was led by Senator Stephanie D'Hose, Chair of the Central Asia Friendship Group in the Belgian Federal Parliament. It also included Senators Goedele Liekens and Jasper Pillen, Flemish Parliament member and Mayor of Grobbendonk Marianne Verhaert, as well as company representatives Carolien Willems (Safety Product) and Jan-Felix Nédée (Corsendonk Hotels).

The guests were welcomed by Chamber President Denis Van den Weghe and General Secretary Sultan Yessenbek.

The meeting featured presentations by Chamber member companies — Belgian businesses operating in Kazakhstan — who showed the delegation their operations, the challenges they face, results achieved so far, and future plans:

• Almathera (General Director Abay Zakaryanov, Project Manager Alexey Sergeyev) presented initiatives in pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals, including the creation of Kazakhstan's first private GMP-compliant radiopharmaceutical laboratory and theranostics production in partnership with IBA.
• Rhenus Logistics (General Director Christophe Dullaert) spoke about the company's logistics solutions and its growing role in the transport systems of the CIS countries.
• Solvay Central Asia (General Director Chingiz Dukumbayev) shared the company's experience in the chemical industry and its cooperation with Kazakh mining enterprises.
• Ahlers Logistics (Business Development Manager Zifa Mazhitova) presented plans to expand the company's presence and develop logistics infrastructure.

The meeting provided a productive platform for exchanging experience and discussing investment prospects and new areas of cooperation, further strengthening business ties between Belgium and Kazakhstan.
