Visits to Enterprises of BeNeLux Chamber Member Companies

As part of the ongoing programme of enterprise visits, on 4 and 5 April this year, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Kazakhstan Henri Vantieghem, President of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce Denis Van den Weghe, and General Director of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce Anuar Kurzhikayev visited enterprises of BeNeLux Chamber member companies. In Aktobe Region, the delegation visited the Zhanazhol Gas Turbine Power Plant (ZhGTES), owned by AMF Group; in Aktau, they visited two modern Artex plants: the first producing autoclaved aerated concrete with a capacity of 200,000 m³ per year, and the second producing reinforcement mesh with a capacity of 120,000 tonnes per year.

During the visit to the ZhGTES, important issues of cooperation in the electricity sector were discussed, along with promising directions for providing affordable electricity in Aktobe Region for the needs of the region's greenhouse farms. The discussion highlighted the significant potential for cooperation in this area, particularly given the expertise of Belgian and Dutch companies in agriculture.

Possibilities for modernising and building new energy sector facilities, as well as introducing advanced technologies and innovative solutions, including those offered by AMF Group, were also raised. Cooperation between Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the Republic of Kazakhstan in this area holds enormous potential for a mutually beneficial partnership that will help grow the economy and increase resilience in the energy sector.

During the visit to Artex's plants, delegation members were shown the modern technologies used in producing autoclaved aerated concrete and metal reinforcement mesh. Given the high quality and competitive pricing of the products manufactured, possible supplies of this output to EU countries were discussed.
