Belgian Company NMC Opens a Production Site in Almaty

Almaty, 26 May 2025 — Almaty hosted the official opening of a production site of the Belgian company NMC, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of synthetic foam solutions for construction, interiors and technical insulation.

NMC was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Eupen, Belgium. Today the company operates in more than 120 countries and holds a solid position on international markets. The expansion into Kazakhstan is a logical step in its strategy to strengthen its presence in Central Asia.

The launch of the production site in Almaty Region reflects the strategic interest of Belgian business in Kazakhstan and confirms confidence in the country's investment climate. The new plant will create jobs, provide access to locally produced modern insulation and decorative materials, and contribute to the development of industrial cooperation.

The official opening was attended by Denis Van den Weghe, President of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, who noted the importance of this event for strengthening economic ties between Belgium and Kazakhstan.
