BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan Takes Part in the "Taste of Tomorrow" Conference in Almaty

On 30 May 2024, Denis Van den Weghe, President of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce, spoke at the "Taste of Tomorrow" conference organised by Puratos Kazakhstan in Almaty.

In his remarks, Denis Van den Weghe expressed his deep gratitude to Puratos and to Natalia Petrenko, Regional Director for Russia, Central Asia and Belarus, for organising the event.

He noted that Puratos, founded in Belgium in 1919, is now an international group leading the production of high-quality ingredients for the bakery, patisserie and chocolate industries.

The President stressed the significance of Puratos's entry into the Kazakh market. Although the company has officially been present in Kazakhstan for only one year, Puratos Kazakhstan opened an Innovation Centre for bakers and pastry chefs in Almaty just seven months after its establishment — the eighth Puratos centre in the CIS and the eighty-first worldwide.

The BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan actively supports companies from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg in their operations and market entry in Kazakhstan, and helps local manufacturers expand their presence in BeNeLux markets. The Chamber supports international investors, connects companies with local partners and authorities, facilitates dialogue, and clarifies legal norms and regulations.

Denis Van den Weghe stressed the importance of choosing the right partners for success, quoting the Flemish proverb "Een goede partner is van goudwaarde" ("A good partner is worth its weight in gold").

In conclusion, he wished all conference participants — more than 200 people from the Central Asian region — a productive event and expressed confidence that the discussions and exchange of ideas would lead to new ideas and successful projects that will contribute to the development of the food industry in Central Asia.
