Open House at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for Members and Partners of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce

On 7 February 2024, Astana hosted an "Open House" at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Kazakhstan for members and partners of the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce.

H.E. Nico Schermers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with Embassy colleagues — Agricultural, Nature and Food Quality Counsellor Mr Arie Veldhuizen and Senior Economic Officer Ms Dinara Amanturlieva — welcomed participants and held a meeting at the Embassy chancery with representatives of Chamber member and partner companies: SOUDAL, WPK, ERG, Rijk Zwaan, SAPEC, Nijhuis Saur Industries, and QazBioPharm Holding.
During the meeting, participants briefed the Ambassador on their companies' activities and on current and future projects involving Dutch partners. Company representatives expressed interest in cooperating with the Embassy and strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries. Important issues in agriculture and water resource management — areas in which the Netherlands holds a leading position in Europe — were also raised.
The Ambassador assured the Chamber's members and partners of the Dutch Embassy's support for business development between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the Embassy chancery, during which diplomats introduced their staff.
