Honorary Consul Denis Van den Weghe Awarded the Rank of Knight of the Order of the Crown

During the celebration of Belgian King’s Day on November 14, 2024, His Excellency Henri Vantieghem, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Kazakhstan, conferred the prestigious rank of Knight of the Order of the Crown upon Mr. Denis Van den Weghe, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium to Almaty and Almaty Province.

This distinguished honor recognizes Mr. Van den Weghe’s remarkable contributions to strengthening the diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Belgium and Kazakhstan. Over the years, his efforts have greatly enhanced bilateral cooperation, fostering mutual understanding and opportunities between the two nations.

In addition to his role as Honorary Consul, Mr. Van den Weghe serves as the President of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan. Under his leadership, the Chamber has played a vital role in supporting Belgian businesses and promoting collaboration between the Benelux region and Kazakhstan.
