Meeting of the Ambassadors of the European Union countries and representatives of the European Chambers of Commerce with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 7, in the building of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held between the ambassadors of the European Union countries accredited in Kazakhstan and representatives of European chambers of commerce with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azhar Giniyat, as part of quarterly meetings in the Business Platform format with the leadership of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Minister Azhar Giniyat presented the main national programs of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, such as "healthy nation" and "modernization of rural healthcare", which provide for the further development of medical infrastructure in the Republic of Kazakhstan. As part of the construction of multidisciplinary hospitals and polyclinics in various areas, the Minister invited European investors to consider the mechanism of public-private partnership.

Noting the importance of providing quality services to the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the parties agreed to work closely with leading European institutions in the field of advanced training of doctors and medical staff of the country.

As a result, the parties agreed to establish a Working Subgroup with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of pharmaceutical companies from the EU countries and the leadership of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss a wide range of issues, including technology transfer, construction of hospitals and clinics, and study of best practices in the field of medicine.

Also, the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce and SK-Pharmacy agreed to hold a round table in February 2023 for the members of the Chamber in order to clarify the rules for the centralized procurement of medicines, as well as inform potential investors about support measures to increase Kazakhstani production of pharmaceutical products.
